Dr Dwaine Cooke is also specialized in Epilepsy surgery, which seeks to surgically remove tumors and other causes of seizures unresponsive to regular treatment. We offer office visits help to decide if you or your loved ones would need surgery, then determine a plan for your treatment.

Emergency services include: Head injury, Bleeding in the brain, Injury to Spine, Aneurysm rupture, Spinal disc herniation, Seizures, Stroke with Brain Swelling, Hydrocephalus, Severe Sudden Headache, Brain and Spine infections among others.
Dr Cooke takes consults from other physicians and also appointments from patients. The office visits involve evaluating the illness in detail. A discussion of your symptoms, your current medications and a full physical examination will be performed. Subsequently a treatment plan will be designed, which may include other investigations and ultimately surgery.

Dr Dwaine Cooke was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica. After graduating from the Manning’s School he attended the University of the West Indies-Mona where he completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 2005 and Doctor of Medicine in Neurosurgery in 2016 with multiple distinctions and honours. He has obtained fellowship training in Pediatric and adult neuro-oncology, neurovascular disorders, and epilepsy surgery at Halifax Health Sciences in Nova Scotia, Canada. Additionally he has also completed an Epilepsy Surgery fellowship training at Yale University, Connecticut, USA
Dr Cooke has received multiple awards including the Jamaica Government Exhibition, the Jamaica Flour Mills Foundation Scholarship and the Linda and Harvey Gellman Award (Canada).
His main goal is to see an Epilepsy Surgery program established in the Caribbean and to see Neurosurgery evolve to first world standards.
